My favorite time of the day! 🍸 🍷
If you've ever been to France, then you probably know that this tradition is an almost sacred ritual everywhere. An Apéro or Aperitif is not (only) the glass of alcohol, as it is often thought - But it is a form of socializing, to welcome the evening with a glass of wine, pastis, iced rosé or champagne (!). Mostly at the weekends, but also directly after office closing time. Then you meet with colleagues or friends for an aperitif in a bar or privately at home.
French people work very long hours, often well past 6 pm. An aperitif is the ideal opportunity to leave your everyday stress behind and enjoy the moment. 7 p.m. is the best time to have a glass together....
...Well, you'll find me at 7 p.m with a glass of rosé in Lyon - A ce soir! (= see you tonight!)
More France and Lyon to get to know?
Come, I'll show you the city!
